Ted Eliopoulos, managing director, strategic capital, assists with developing Prologis’ strategic capital business, which includes ten co-investment ventures in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia. Prologis’ Strategic Capital business is an integral line of business for the company, with $85 billion in assets under management. Additionally, Mr. Eliopoulos is focused on developing new venture opportunities. Prior to joining Prologis in 2024, Mr. Eliopoulos was managing director and senior advisor of Calvert Research and Management, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. He previously served as CEO and president of Calvert Research and Management. He served as the vice chairman and head of strategic partnerships at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and was also a member of the investment management operating committee, co-chair of the sustainable investing council and senior sponsor of the diversity council. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Eliopoulos served as the chief investment officer at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Prior to being named CIO, he was CalPERS’ senior investment officer of real estate and then real assets. Prior to that, he served as the chief deputy treasurer at the California State Treasurer’s Office. Mr. Eliopoulos has also held positions in both the private and public sectors, including real estate development and in environmental management with the U.S. Department of Energy. He began his career at Latham & Watkins as an attorney in the real estate division. Mr. Eliopoulos’ past board affiliations include the U.S. Real Estate Roundtable and the Pensions Real Estate Association, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s Investor Advisory Group, as well as the Alliance for Southern California Innovation Advisory Council. Mr. Eliopoulos currently serves on the Board of the Robert Toigo Foundation and the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute.
Ted is a co-chair of the Program Committee and member of the Nominating and Governance Committee.
